Town Hall & Library Exhibitions
|
OVERVIEWThe Public Art Office organizes an annual Juried Exhibition Series for Chapel Hill's Town Hall and the Chapel Hill Public Library featuring artwork by established and emerging artists. Approximately ten indoor exhibitions are organized throughout the year featuring a wide range of artistic media, including both two- and small three-dimensional artwork. Selected artists exhibit their work for approximately two months in two- or three-person group shows at either Town Hall or the Public Library. North Carolina artists are encouraged to apply but all artists are considered, regardless of residency. Artistic excellence and the display of a wide variety of media and styles are the primary selection criteria. Special un-juried exhibitions organized for this series include the Black History Month Exhibition, the Community Art Project and the Town Employee Art Exhibition. |
